A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.

“Not very long,” answered the Mexican.

“But then, why didn’t you stay out longer and catch more?” asked the American.

The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.

The American asked, “But what do you do with the rest of your time?”

“I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs. I have a full life.”

The American interrupted, “I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat.”

“And after that?” asked the Mexican.

“With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise.”

“How long would that take?” asked the Mexican.

“Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years,” replied the American.

“And after that?”

“Afterwards? Well my friend, that’s when it gets really interesting,” answered the American, laughing. “When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!”

“Millions? Really? And after that?” asked the Mexican.

“After that you’ll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends.”

And the moral of this story is: ……… Know where you’re going in life… you may already be there.

It is a given that VoIP is here to stay. Now, what is VoIP? It is actually, simply, using internet service to make a phone call. It is sometimes referred to as internet telephony or broadband telephony.

Phone calls made using Voice over IP can actually be free, making VoIP a very attractive way to make phone calls. Generally, free phone calls are only available when internet services are used on both ends of the call. If a long distance call is made by someone through the internet to or from a traditional carrier such as Verizon, AT&T, or Qwest there is a charge applied. It all has to do with Inter-exchange carriers (IXC). We won’t go in to that.

What does all that have to do with a telecommunications revolution? The key is the word long distance and someone. A telecommunications revolution could indeed take place if both were involved. To explain what is meant, what if you were to make a long distance phone call and a digital telephone pole (Google it) were used on the other end that would route the call through the internet and make it a local call even though it is actually a long distance call. The cost would then be minimal.

These digital telephone poles would be placed in the homes of people in the same area code as where the calls are to be terminated. If these digital telephone poles were placed in the homes of people all across the country, you would indeed have a telecommunications revolution. You have just created a situation where the $12 billion dollar annually telecommunications Inter-exchange carrier industry has been brought down to the level of the “average Joe” in the homes of millions across the country – a telecommunications revolution.

There has been a bit of a buzz lately about a new opportunity on the internet that has drawn enough attention to write a review on. It is a business opportunity in the telecommunications industry. There are a number of business opportunities out there that are related to the telecommunications industry such as ACN, 5Links and others that have done well over the years.

3. Money is exchanged whenever calls cross these lines.

4. Interexchange carriers (IXC) were developed (currently 90,000) to handle these exchanges. Billions of dollars exchange hands every month in this process.

5. Least Cost Routing (LCR) software was developed to allow these companies to route their calls through the cheapest carriers.

6. Voiparty has developed a hand held proprietary device that is placed in the homes of individuals throughout the USA and Canada that uses VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) and a person’s telephone line to route some of those calls that were originally routed through the IXC.

7. Voiparty then gets paid for allowing the phone call to route through a small device (digital telephone pole) about the size of the palm of a hand that is placed on the desktop of individuals throughout the USA and Canada. The device is plugged into a phone line and the internet service. The computer is not affected by this process.

8. Voiparty distributes 70% of the income generated through these devices to its members.

As you can see, the potential is huge in the billion dollar telecommunications industry for a business opportunity to thrive.
